PUBLICATIONS & DESCRIPTIONS

ECDVU is committed to developing and promoting information of value to ECD in the Majority World. This is accomplished through a combination of: A) providing brief descriptions of the ECDVU program; B) publishing articles, chapters and special issues addressing various facets of the program; C) sharing work produced by the students in the ECDVU program, such as major projects and theses from the three year Africa program; and D) making accessible internal and external evaluations of ECDVU program deliveries. A) BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS

    • Early Childhood Development: Capacity Building in Africa. Introducing the Early Childhood Development Virtual University (ECDVU, 2000).

      This document was prepared in 2000 to serve as an initial information source. Although it is several years old, this booklet still provides an appropriate introduction to the philosophy and generic structure of ECDVU.

    • ECDVU: Leadership Promotion Capacity Building, Network Enhancement. This is the most recent document to be developed describing the ECDVU program (June, 2004). This six page brochure provides a broad overview of the African, the Middle East, and the Indigenous ECDVU programs with additional inserts providing data from the African ECDVU evaluation.
